Dr. Bever Promoted to Associate Professor
Gabriel Bever was promoted to Associate Professor of Functional Anatomy and Evolution, effective February 1, 2021. A full-time faculty member in the Center, Dr. Bever earned his PhD in Paleobiology from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Cooke Joins 2021 Cohort of LPWF
Dr. Siobhán Cooke will participate in 2021 cohort of women in the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Leadership Program for Women Faculty (LPWF).
Dr. Sylvester Promoted to Associate Professor
Adam Sylvester was promoted to Associate Professor of Functional Anatomy and Evolution, effective October 1, 2020. A full time faculty member in the Center, Dr. Sylvester earned his BS in Zoology, then his MA and PhD in Anthropology, from the University of Tennessee.
Bever Lab paper led by Aneila Hogan awarded Journal Cover
A paper by graduate student Aneila Hogan and faculty member Dr. Gabriel Bever was selected to appear on the cover of the August 2020 issue of Journal of Anatomy.
Congratulations to the Inaugural Class, MS in Anatomy Education
The Center for Functional Anatomy and Evolution congratulates the graduates from its inaugural class in the MS in Anatomy Education that began in 2019. The three students came from a variety of backgrounds to pursue this degree and successfully navigated a new program and the pandemic to complete their coursework in June, 2020. Congratulations to Aracely, Grace, and Dallas – we wish you all the best for your future careers!
